According to a Cupid.com survey, men in a new relationship are more likely to shell out big bucks for a gift for their girlfriend. 22 percent would pay over 100 bucks on a gift, while only 5 percent of women would do the same.

Apparently guys see that gift as a symbol of their devotion – and they don't like it if you don't return the favor. 15 percent of men say that if their new girlfriend didn't pay enough for a gift, they would break up with them, while only 11 percent of women would.  (YourTango.com)
